About Myself

I am happily married with two children. I believe that being connected on an emotional level with your spouse and children will lead to a sense of fulfillment and happiness. And when things get tough, that same connection will allow for the clarity needed to find a healthy solution. It's what we all want but don't always know how to get. I can help you find that clarity and resolution through specific counseling techniques and goals that are realistic and attainable. Whether it is child therapy or family therapy that you are in need of, you can rest easy knowing that I will listen carefully and address your needs.

I began my career in child and family therapy in 1996 as a student intern with the Vacaville Police Department, youth services division. I then moved on to work at the Placer women's shelter doing child and family therapy with women and children escaping domestic violence. While finishing my masters program I worked at the Counseling center at CSUS and the White House Counseling Center in the San Juan School District.

After graduating, I started my internship at Tara Nova Counseling agency (formerly known as AFTER Counseling) where I worked with abused and neglected children for the next four years. I started my private practice in 2003 where I continue to work with children and adults, specializing in trauma and using interventions such as Internal Family Systems, EMDR and CRM.
